"Yes Chief." he said as he went on to Dura's house to see how Sharn was.

She was in bed looking out the window and had no emotion on her face, but you could feel the rage seeping out of her.

It was quiet in the hut the Chief scratching his head*...it's soon time for her First Journey...it'll be a long journey as well for her.

Sharn looked to see the Chief and Kagan the right hand orc standing together. "......." she stood up then knelt to the chief, "Your orders chief." she said, she was not going to let this deem her unworthy.

Chief-hmm...after such an ordeal you still hold your loyalty...do you know what is next Month Sharn?

".......My first trial to be blooded." she said.

"that is correct, do you know what is required for the trial?"

".................strength....and wits." she said. "And bring back the head of a cave sabre cat."

"the journey is a long one, many...never returned from it"

"I will be successful." she said without doubt.

Chief-I have no doubt you will do all you can, you've been so eager to prove yourself, I will give you this opportunity

"My Chief, she isn't not 18 yet....maybe if she was able to train a bit more?" asked Kagan the right hand man.

Chief-...*He turned towards her* when do you become of age?

".................................I do not know chief....i know no other humans." she said.

"I think Humans are of age at 16-18 from what I heard." said Kagan, "A couple more years of training Chief and she can be able to prove her worth and he strength.

"I can DO IT!" glared Sharn. "I don't doubt you young one, but you won't be looked at as marriageable if the clan hears this now. Just keep training for the trials."

Chief-when you are of the age 16...I will send you out...there is a human town forming near by...perhaps you could gather information for us about the people

"To a human village?" Kagan was surprised. "IS that wise for a trial Chief?" he asked

"Yes my chief." she bowed without question. She then got up, "If I may I will go cleanse." she said, not worried about her bruises or her physical condition.

Chief-it is something that we do not have the luxury of doing with out suspicions, this should allow us to learn what the humans plan on doing in our land and if we need to take action with out arousing our locations

".....Very well my chief." he said, watching her leave without a care. ".....she's still worried...but she hides it well."

Chief-naturally but it is but one more thing she must overcome

".......what about her getting a mate.....she's considered damaged now.." said Kagan.

Chief-that will be the choice of her future mate...should she have one

"........I don't find her unwanting..." he chuckled a bit, "I like her attitude." he smirked and chuckled, "But we'll see how her mission goes then."

4 years...now at the age of 18, Sharn had proved herself a capable warrior and it was time for her to take her trial. She was packing her gear getting ready to go out into the wilderness and to see what the humans were up to.

Chief-do you remember that day...what we discussed?

She stood when the Chief approached her, "....Yes my Chief." she said, "You want me to see about the nearby human village..."

"Indeed, go there posing as an adventurer, gather what you can about what their intentions for the village is, then meet with our scout in the northern forest and tell them what you know, then continue your true journey"
