Mutant Rebellion

High Peak...the top of the city, all lights, sophistication and glamour. The finest food and clothes are accessible to the people who live on the high up streets, but then midway, is the section called 'Mid-Town', people who are make decent amounts of money but don't find themselves as wealthy fat cats, making a good living and are able to provide for a family and safety.....then...there is the actually ground level, Low-town or Slum town it was also known as. Here...the worst of the worst fester and become mother more that forgotton stories to those above. And Low town was home to the unwanted...one particular unwanted...was the Mutants. People who looked different and had odd abilities that they were born with.

The Mutant was dubbed Samson, he often tried to stay under the radar, Mutants were not often welcome in the world, and he was very careful, for he had the Strength of 30 men, some who knew of his skill put him to work, mainly chop shops around the slums, for he easily lifted cars above him, construction and demolition is what he was used for, it was a hard life...but it was life.

Not much money was to be found in the Slums unless it was shady work or low wage spots. But there was many non-mutants who were forced to live in the slums were the major part of the population, but a good lot of them were mostly mutants and were still pushed away as outcasts...especially the ones who have odd skin colours.

Samson-dragged a car into the garage of one of his employers* Found another one, rusted piece of junk, almost cut myself on the fuckin thing

"You complain all the time about that." he said, looking at what he had brought him, ".........I'll five you 40 credits." he said.

Simon-only 40? *he looked annoyed* last time it was 50

"This one is more rusted than they other." he said, "Take it or take it back."

Simon-growled under his breath* fine *he grabbed the money and walked out* ugh...I need to get out of this city

One of the few good spots to get a decent bite to eat was a small cart, that sold cooked eggs, either hard boiled or fried. "Hey Sam." said the middle age woman names Maria. "You feeling peckish my boy?"

Samson-groaned* it's...it's been a day *He walked over and noticed* oh you have Pickled in today?

"Oh yeah I have, the first successful lot in a long time." she sighed. Maria handed him on, "Here on the house." It was hard to get certain ingredients for recipes. "I've got boiled as well and i can whip up a fried one for you." she smiled.

Samson-popped the egg into his mouth and ate it* mmmmm that hit the spot, yes I would like some eggs please, been a long rough day

She smiled, "Two for 5 credits?" she asked as she got her eggs out of her cooler. "Not getting enough credits?" she asked

Samson-people seem to be adjusting the prices more in more against me it seems *he paid her 5 and sat back* it's getting harder and harder to find work

"......." she sighed, "Its not easy for you or other like you Sammy." she said, and placed the 5 credits away and got a couple large duck eggs out and got a hot pan going with simple cooking oil.

Samson-no it is not *he smiled* but people like you always make me keep going

She smiled and cracked both eggs at the same time one egg in each hand, into the hot oil, frying them up. "Sunny side up as usual?" she asked.

Samson-lets do scrambled this time, in the mood to treat myself

"I don't have any milk to do that." she sighed sadly.

Samson-well lets do fried then...not in the mood for Sunny Side up this time

"Very well, Sunny side down today." she said, getting them all cooked on both sides and got a little salk and pepper on them, "There ya go." she got them on a simple plate with a fork, "Dig in."

Samson-thank you *He started to eat and heard some noise going on a block away* seems like the anti mutant regime is out again causing commotion

She sighed, "They've been more common occurring now..." said Mary, "I would head home after this is I were you."

Samson-agreed...though unless I pull something they won't know what I am...I'm at least lucky enough to not have any looks

"At least... but if you are caught with young Will, you best avoid then." she said. Will was a young mutant that he traded with now any then, good kid, but got into mischief a lot.
