Origins of Saluna

She felt sickened around him, "Well...my son acquired some wild honey...so some honey bread." she said. Then Samuel came in, "Oh.....hi." he glared at him, "mama, did you need any more of the small loaves?" he asked her. "Yes darling another 6." she smiled at her youngest.

The Mayor smirked* Honey Bread, not as sweet as you but it shall suffice today *He looked over and saw Samuel* Good morning son

Samuel rolled his eyes when he called him that. Kimberly sighed, "Once the honey bread is out Samuel could you bring out one of them please?" she asked.

"Yes mama." he said, squinting at the mayor.

Meanwhile Benjamin was out back practicing with his bow, shooting at a target*

"going to need to replace the string soon, *He tugged on it a bit*

Samuel came out to his brother, "Ben! That slug is back!" he whispered.

Benjamin-sighed and put his bow down* Guess I should go and make my presents known *He headed inside*

"Plase do, i went in and he didn't back off." he said.

The Mayor was leaning over the counter a little too much...then Benjamin entered and he stood up*


Benjamin-Good morning Mayor


"Morning....b...Benjamin

Kimberly moved back a bit, "Sir, please I'm working." Kimberly almost sighed in relief, "Did you still wish for that Honey bread Sir?"

Mayor-no....no I'm good thank you, have a nice day *He left*


Benjamin-...you ok mother?

She sighed at last when he left, "Thank you Benjamin." she said, "He's getting more intense each visit...." she sighed

Benjamin-I don't like it mother, sooner or later you're going to have to put your foot down with him.

"....." she sighed, "If I get too aggressive Benjamin he could shut our bakery down."

Benjamin-I'm aware *he sighed* If we could make enough money then it wouldn't be a problem...just wish I could nab something big, that will cover us for a good while and not have to worry about him.

"not even all the boars in the world could do that my Sweet son." she touched his face, "We'll be alright." she smiled.

Benjamin-no...something big though would set us up for a long time...like a Bear...*he thought* A Bear pelt is big money.

"Bears are hard to come back in this part of the woods, Benjamin.....you'd have to go right to the mountains to do so and that means going through the Haze!" she said worried.

Benjamin-it'll be ok mother, I know a path that'll avoid that *He smiled at her*

She sighed seeing he was determined, "You are so stubborn....just like your father...." she said fixing his shirt, "Very well, I know you'll be away a while, we'll pack you some essentials."

Benjamin-I promise to bring something good back *he smiled* and I'll be ok.

"Take the horse though, so you don't drag it all back yourself." she said.

Benjamin-Yeah...that...that'll help a lot. Thank you mother.

The next day, early morning, they and packed him the needed supplies and the horse was saddled up and ready.

Benjamin-hopped on and smiled at his mother* I'll be home in a few days

"See you soon and be safe my son." she smiled, "PLEASE be careful."
