Origins of Saluna

Benjamin-tossed the Torch behind him and dove into the water to get away from them*

The spiders saw he dove into the water they stopped at the water's edge and waited for him. But then, "Girls what are you all chasing?" a voice asked the all curiously.

Benjamin-stayed down as long as he could then finally needed to surface for breath* GAAAAAAAAAA *he coughed and glared at the spiders*

There standing with the spiders in a dark purple dress was a pretty brunette with basket full of flowers and herbs, "Ohhhh I see." she giggled, "Go on back to the woods girls, he's not for eating." she shooed them away and they listened.

"I would get out of there." she told him.

Benjamin-and why is that? *he glared at her still not sure what's going on but hesitant to listen to her*

Then behind him a shadow appeared and a HUGE snake had surfaced from the water, its tongue flicking at him.

Benjamin-DAMN IT *He quickly swam to shore and drew his knife preparing to fight it*

"Put the knife away, he has eaten already." she said casually, walking to the water's edge, "Hello Daxy." she smiled and scratched under the serpents chin. "You jumped into his pool."

Benjamin-still held the knife* who are you? *he was still cautious*

She looked at the knife and giggled, "You won't get close enough to use that.....The spiders are still near and Daxy here is RIGHT here." she reminded, "Put the knife away, no one will harm you while I am here." she said casually.

Benjamin-looked at his surroundings and slipped the knife back into it's sheath but held it close* You'll forgive me if I don't entirely trust you.

"I would call you an idiot if you did." she gave a sneaky grin. "Who would trust a random girl in the Haze?" she chuckled and Daxy slipped back into the water.

Benjamin-...how do I get back to my village?

"Did you not come looking for game?" she asked, as if she read his mind.

Benjamin-glared* did you do something to the animals from the other parts of the forest to lure people here.

She looked at him, "I just happened across you. The animals knew the Spiders were on the prowl and had flee." she said, "I did nothing." she still remained so casual and calm. "You have a bow and a hunter's knife, so therefore you are looking for game."

Benjamin-I am...are you to blame for the spiders being on patrol? they seem to take orders from you just fine.

"I control nothing they do, they just trust me enough to tell them that someone is not a threat." she said, "I do not order them around."

Benjamin-....so what happens now?

"Well you want to have something to take home, I can trade with you." she smirked.

Benjamin-...trade? *He looked at her* Trade what? *He was concerned now, the rumors of a witch in this area was popular, and right now she was fitting the bill for one*

She showed her basket, "I've more than hers and blooms in his basket." she pulled out two dead freshly killed rabbits, "Will these do for a hunt?" she grinned.

Benjamin-they would....but what do you want for them?

"Ohh that little knife of yours will do." she said.

Benjamin-my...my knife? *He looked at her confused* Just...just my knife
