The Beginning of Madness

Jori had found the cave* Hmm...really dark...but I can see well enough when my eyes adjust *he walked in*

A breeze came out of the cave when he spoke.

Jori-held his arm up to block his face* That's interesting *He headed in anyway, not afraid*

Something within the cave watched him as he entered with not worry at all. 'Fearless child.' the figure thought, continuing to watch.

Jori-moved slowly through the cave, his eyes couldn't adjust enough but then he tripped over something* What the? A lantern? *He shook it* still oil in here *he picked up a rock and started to quickly scrape against the wall trying to make a spark*

There was an odd marking on the lantern, once he got some stone and got a spark going, lighting the lantern.

Jori held the lantern up and looked at it* "Strange but...new lantern, that's good, our place could use a little light every now and then" *he got moving through the cave*

Wondering through the came and with more light now from the lantern, there were signs that people and been here, but not so recently. There were dead bird bones and what looked like goat skulls. Then reaching to the end, finding an alter of stone that had blow out candles and a red cloth over it, that looked like it had dark stains on it and feathers.......these islands only had one mind of people who would hide this....voodoo practitioners.

Jori-this is interesting *He used the lantern to light all the candles to get a full view* Voodoo? I heard rumors of stuff like this...but does it really work, that's the thing *He looked at all the bones and the feathers* would be neat to have fun with though.

"Fun you call it?" a voice spoke with a chuckle at his comment, coming from behind him in the dark.

Jori-quickly spun around and pulled up the lantern trying to get a good look* Who's there?....Show yourself

No one was there, but a chuckled echoed in the came, "I must say you are the bravest soul I've seen in the LONGEST time." something tapped his shoulder from behind and sitting on the alter with legs crossed, was dark skinned woman in white, with a painted face or red and yellow. She also had jewellery adorned on her made of bones....which in these parts meant only one thing....

Jori-turned and looked at her* So...you run this place? *he looked at her not spooked also looked at her up and down*

"I run many places Brave one." she smirked, "This is but a shine for my people." she said. "But I'm not surprised your FRIEND didn't join you." she giggled.

Jori-...so you knew about that...must mean you're not an ordinary person *He looked at her* (just being her presence she gives off a lot of pressure)

She smirked, "Noticing it are you?" she chuckled, "Very Observant......but you are MUCH too young..." she teased.

Jori-I can do almost anything an Adult just as well as they can *he glared, he didn't like to be talked down apon*

"ALMOST is not all." she chuckled, "You've a few years before you can get to your full potential..." she smirked, standing in front of him. She bent over and gently got his chin, "Tell me....Jori Basker...... what would you give for all the power in the world?"

Jori-thought about her words and looked at her* Explain?...what you mean

"If you seek for the life of power I KNOW you seek.....then find the Find the Ash Island where Death Greets you when you dock." she said in a riddled sort of way. "If you wish for this.....seek it in 4 years time." she then kissed his forehead and let his chin go, then vanishing before his eyes.

Jori-...in four years...find The Ash Island where Death Greets me when I dock *He thought for a bit* I'll need a map *he took a final look around then headed out.

Once out in the light the marking on the lantern showed a pair cross bones with a dagger down the middle, whoever this lady was...she wasn't not normal.

Meanwhile Frank had brought back the urchin that they wanted to recruit.

Jori-looked at the skull and cross bones and smirked* Pirates...that'll work, work my way up...take over...yeah, and when the time comes...figure out what that riddle meant *He headed back* I think I have it all figured out

Frank and the other urchin blinked, "Whatch mean boss?" asked Frankie. "We don't even have a ship."

Jori-not yet...we join a crew, earn their trust...take it over...then there's nothing that could stop us
