My Butler's A Vampire!

Stella held back her tears that she felt stinging her eyes and was happy to hear that her grandfather really cared. She cherished the memories she had of him from her youth. "I know he had duties to fulfill...I don't blame him at all. I just wish things could have been different." Stella decided to take the one book with her back to her room.

"I know this may seem inappropriate but..." Stella slowly approached Luthor and stood on her tip toes a bit to kiss his cheek. "Thank you, Luthor. You have made me feel very much at home in the short time I've been here. I'm thankful to have you at my side." She smiled at him and walked past him. "I look forward to our lessons as well. Have a good evening, Luthor." She held her book in her arms and excused herself to go to her room for a bit.

He blinked when she gave a little peck on the cheek. But he smiled at her, "It is my hour My lady Stella and My privilege." he said, "I'll inform you and your mother when dinner is ready." he said as she headed on out of the library. he touched his cheek, he hadn't had contact like that in a long time, 'Keep professional Luthor....' he scolded himself.

Stella closed the door behind her and had a slight grin on her face. She chuckled to herself like a little girl. She made Luthor speechless for a few seconds. Her heart was beating wildly from the thrill of it all. She went on back to her room and sat in her chair by the window and continued to read until dinner time.

A while later....

Her mother came to see her in her room, "Hey hun, how are you going?" she smiled, coming in and sitting on her bed. "How was the library?" she chuckled know the answer for that one.

Stella looked over her shoulder expecting to see Luthor, but saw her mom instead. "Oh, hey mom. It was great! I have a few stacks of books in there I pulled that I am going to read in my spare time. I brought one with me and I am close to finishing it." Time always drifted away from her when she got lost in a good book. "Luthor said he would come get us when dinner was ready. I can't wait to see what the kitchen staff has prepared for us." She smiled and stood up from her large love seat.

She smiled, "I think its going to be soon, stye keep to a exact schedule, sooo i'm guessing 6:30." she chuckled and looked a the clock, it was 6:25 and RIGHT as she mentioned that, Luthor knocked on her door, "Ladies, dinner will be ready in 5 minutes." he smiled, "Shall i escort you both to the dining hall."

"How do you know that?" Stella asked. Her question was quickly answered when Luthor knocked on the door and let himself in. "Yes please." Stella said. "What are we having?" She asked knowing he would be more than happy to describe the meal with LOTS of detail.

"We have an organic roast chicken, with a quinoa, herb and mushroom stuffing, roast medley of root vegetables, fresh homemade chicken gravy and fresh homemade bread bread and butter. We also have a garden salad as a refreshing alternative as well." he said. "And for dessert, a german chocolate cake with a Madagascar vanilla bean ice-cream."

Stella's sweet tooth started tingling at the mention of German Chocolate cake. She wished they could skip right to dessert. She could smell the foods he was describing filling the hallway as they walked. "I can already smell all of it." She smiled sniffing the air. They entered the dining hall and there was quite a spread before them. It was a feast fit for a king. "Wow...this is very extravagant." Stella said her eyes bouncing from dish to dish.

He opened each each for them, "Please sit ladies." he smiled, pushing in the chairs for each of them as well. "We have an excellent chardonnay white wine for refreshment or a refreshing virgin mojito." he smiled

Stella took her seat and smiled to Luthor for pushing her chair in. "Mm, I will have Chardonnay please." She said and couldn't wait to sample all the delicious food in front of her. "Did you make any of this, Luthor? You seem to know every single detail about the meal." She chuckled.

"I personally didn't make these dishes, but I am involved with what is being prepared and planned through out the day, in case for allergies or preferences in food to each family member. Since you two a MUCH easier to provide for it is vey simple." he chuckled and got the bottle of wine to who them the brand and the age, "This is a good year too." he said as he got opening the bottle.

"I'll take a Chardonnay as well." smiled Julia.

"Plus I take pride in the products we produce here on the family farm." he added, he poured the wine into the glasses for them.

Stella chuckled, "You are quite amazing, Luthor. Thank you." She accepted her wine and swished it around in her glass a bit. "We should make a toast. It is a special occasion after all." She said. "What do you think mom?"

"I agree. This has been a very wonderful tim, even though it was set to a gloomy beginning." she said, "But here's to start overs." her mother held her glass to her girl.

"To new beginnings." Stella added and clinked her glass with her mothers. She took a sip and savored the taste on her tongue and felt the slight burn on the way down. "It's perfect. One of the best wines I've ever tasted." She smiled.

Luthor smiled, "I'm glad you like Milady." he said with a nod. "Shall I carve the chicken then?"

"Please do Luthor." smiled Julia. The butler then got the needed times that the maids brought out, and he first sharpened the carving knife, just like butcher would. Then he got breaking down the caucus of the cooked bird. He got the breasts off and sliced them carefully and placed them on the plate and got the serving of the side items on in a delicate order on the plate and with the gravy to top it off. "Milady." he served Stella then Julia, "Looks divine Luthor." smiled Julia.

Stella watched Luthor carve the chicken very delicately. He looked so majestic somehow. Stella smiled when the full plate was placed in front of her. "Yes, it does. Thank you." Stella picked up her fork and knife and cut into her piece of chicken and tasted it. It practically melted in her mouth and all the flavor soaked in. "Delicious!" She exclaimed.

He smiled, "Our ladies here are VERY good at what they do and our local produce is very much worth the hard work." he said. They ladies gave a small curtsy as to say thank you.

"Ohh it melts in our mouth soooooo good." giggled Julia, "I've missed this cooking." she said.

Stella bowed her head to the ladies to thank them. "It's perfect. The chicken tastes so fresh. This is so much better than instant noodles." She chuckled. Being a college student, that was practically what she lived on when money was tight. "I can't believe I get to eat like this every day."

"Of course if you wish for something as in fast food we can order that for you as well." chuckled Luthor. "Your father adored IN-n-Out." he said. "But we are glad you both enjoy it so." Luthor added. Continuing on with what they had on their plates, adding more if they wished.

Stella smiled. "Well I do love Chinese take out. Especially Egg Rolls. But I doubt I will ever want take out again after eating food as delicious as this." She said and smothered a piece of her chicken in some gravy before putting it in her mouth.

He mother chuckled, "I don't cook very well, so this is soooooo much better than take out." said Julia.

"I'm glad you both enjoy it." smiled Luthor, "Please don't be shy if you wish for second helpings." he reminded.

"Luckily you had me around to cook for us when I was old enough." Stella said teasing her mother.

"I'm trying to save room for dessert." She said not wanting to partake in seconds. After all, dessert was her favorite part of the meal.

She sighed, "Oh rub it why don't you." he mother teased a little.

After the food was clear and new plates were brought along for dessert, the cake was brought out and the finished cake looks pretty as a picture and home made vanilla ice-cream was brought out as an accompaniment.

Stella chuckled, "Sorry mom, but I think you are the only person I know that can't even make macaroni and cheese."

The cake was placed at the center of the table and Stella was so excited. After seeing Minnie preparing the chocolate in the kitchen earlier she couldn't wait to taste the cake. The ice cream was a nice added bonus. "It almost looks to beautiful to eat..." She said.
