Kaidan & Delilah: Part 2

"You've got this look when you've got something on your mind." he said, sitting up.

While she was indeed worried, it seemed pretty stupid and selfish to her. She didn't want to bother him with it but she also didn't want to lie to him. "I'm just worried. Now that you are the Lord of the clan...that we won't be able to spend as much time together." She sighed feeling so stupid.

"I see. Yes....I'll be busy, but I'll be sure to make as much time for you as I can. I want to make sure when we marry it won't be like my parents." he said.

Lilah sat down on the bed next to him. "To new honest, we haven't really known each other that long. There is so much I still don't know about my husband to be." She smiled looking at him. "I'm sorry to bother you with something so trivial...I should have just kept it to myself."

"No. I want to know what you're feeling and if you are worried." he said. "But true, we still have much to learn....but if you have questions you are free to ask me Lilah." he said.

Lilah smiled and leaned in to kiss his cheek, "Thank you, Kaidan. And if you have questions to ask me you are free to ask as well. Although, I have pretty much mentioned everything that is relevant to my past." She sighed and laid back on the bed and snuggled up to the pillow.

he smiled, "True, but I think visiting my north home might be a good way to show my past a bit more."

Lilah looked up at him and thought of her own home, "I have always wanted to see my original village. The one my parents died in...I haven't been there since I was a child. My grandfather and I left and never looked back...." She said.

"I'll arrange travelling time for us. I'm keen to get out and about again." he smiled, that was the reason he liked being an assassin, he could stay out and travel as much as he needed.

"Are you sure you will have time for something like that? It is pretty far from here..." She asked moving closer to him and cuddling up to him instead of the pillow.

"Its not unheard of, certain times of year are quiet for Lord and Lord-Ladies, but I would not do so until after we are married, which gives us a HONEYMOON period." he winked.

Lilah giggled, "You know where I would like to go for our honeymoon?" She said looking at him.

He smiled, "Where?" he asked chuckling.

"I would be perfectly content going back to your hideout and making love all night and day, just the two of us..." She said sitting up and lying her head on his shoulder.

He smiled, "They will be the first couple days....then we can travel to your old village and end by staying a night at my father's house maybe..." he smirked.

Lilah hugged his arm and looked up at him smiling, "I can't wait! I don't know what is left of the village where I was born, but the village where I lived with my grandfather until his death is probably still there. It was a very small farm village deep in the mountains."

"We'll still go either way...I want to see the ground you walked upon as a child....and where your ranger days began." he said.

Lilah chuckled, "My childhood is rather boring. There isn't much to tell or see." She said. "But if you insist, I can show you. I would also like to visit my grandfathers grave. I haven't visited in a long time..."

"A marriage is base to be equal. Vampire marriages....though rare.... but when they do they are about the two being married are equal." he said, "I want to know your past, as you'll come to see mine."

"The same goes for human marriages. Though I don't remember much about my parents, I know they were very happy together and they supported one another. They loved each other and were equal as one. I intend on having the same with you..." She said blushing slightly.

He smiled and kissed her, "Sleep well my love. As much as I would love to take you right now...I'm a bit tired." though he planned to do things in the morning.

She chuckled and kissed him back, "It's ok. I'm tired too...let's get some sleep." She laid down on her side of the bed and whistled to Scout. "Night, Scout."

Kaidan snuggled to her and they got comfortable, eventually they both feel right off to sleep.

Delilah smiled when she felt Kaidan snuggle closer to her. Feeling safe and happy in his arms, she quickly drifted off to sleep.

The next morning...

Lilah awoke first. She was always an early riser. She sat up to stretch and could feel Kaidan's arm lying across her as she sat up. She turned and looked at her husband and to and smiled. He was sleeping peacefully. She didn't want to disturb him, so she made sure to move carefully. She tucked her bangs behind her ear as she leaned down to kiss his forehead lovingly.

Kaidan felt her getting up but wanted to sleep a bit longer, but he had plans for the morning, which he was going to make sure happened.
