Streets: Zaniel & Talia

Talia was shocked with how quick. "Zaniel... Trayvon. He knows. He's know you're the new pimp. Y-You have to go! He's after Chantel and Zion!"She said in panic. "Go to them! quick. I'll call back up!"She said. with panic written all over her face.

She Looked at the guards, "Take them down. Kill if you have to."She ordered. The boys nodded as they protected the place. She followed Zaniel out as she paused, "W-who do I call..."She said freaking out. If she called her dad.... then it's the end.... The end of this place, the end of her job. Her trust with her dad. She was shaking internally. She couldn't do it. But this was the one thing in her heart she wanted to protect. She quickly got her phone and called her father's direct line.

Walter looked and saw a call, "Talia?"He wondered and picked up, "Hey Pumpkin what's going o-""

Talia was crying, "Daddy... Please I need you're help. I need you and few other police officers to come to the address I'm texting you. Please."She begged. As she started to run and following, but taking a different route than Zaniel to get to his house to protect his family.

Walter was shook to hear her panic, "Talia where are you?!"He asked.

Talia sniffed as she had tears, "Dad please just come."She stated as she hung up.

Her life was over... Everything she worked hard for. Was over.

"He's got me being chased out there." he saw the phone and frowned, "Give me that." he said taking the phone, "What?" he asked him. "Well fuck me you are the New Daddy." he sniggered a little, "Kinds bad ya LIED to me Zanny boi." he said with a light sigh, "Could have been business partners." he said, "But to keep it straight, I've got yo little sister......and your brother is on his way now, SO unless ya want blood t'nite....GET. TO. THE. WAREHOUSE." he hung up. Zaniel almost crushed the phone, "FUCK!!!! Lia, I'm going to the Warehouse area of the neighbourhood, on Dusty street." he said, "I gotta go!!!" he said running out of the building. He sa the car waiting for him out the back, he sighed and left the building and hey grabbed him, pulling him to the car.

He could hear Lia was panicking with her phone before he left but had no idea what was to happen now as they drove to the warehouse district.

Talia raced to find the warehouse that was taken. She noticed the car was already there. She stayed out side till she noticed flashing lights.

She raced to the lights as she saw her father in the car. "Talia!"He called as he got out and hugged her, "Are you okay?"He called.

Talia nodded, "But... Zaniel... His family."She gasped tring to catch her breath.

Walter looked and saw the look his daughter was wearing. "Talia.... W-what's going on."He asked her. He noticed the other police officers waiting for orders.

Talia looked down, "Papa..... Please just.... help him."She said begged crying as she held her father.

Walter looked down. His heart sank. 'this entire time... I had no idea....'he thought. She took a deep breath and motioned for the cops to suround the building. But don't fire or attack till given orders.

He quickly wrapped her up in a towel and put her in the car, "Take her to the station. We'll talk later."He motioned. He was obviously very upset. He knew, he didn't want to believe it but he new.

He watched the car take Talia, but he waited and to see any sort of response.

Didn't take long to arrive to the warehouse where most of the operations that Trayvon was running was set up. The drug making and money dealing was all stored and done in this place. Zaniel was escorted to one of the corners, where Trayvon was waiting, along with a VERY scared Chantel and Zion who looked pissed. He sighed, but tried to keep his cool. Trayvon sighed as well, "Zanny Zanny Zanny, thought we had an understandin' ......ya go behind ma back?" he slowly walked up to him, getting in his face. "Here I thought ya be smarter than that Hoe of mama of yours." he said. Zaniel didn't react, he was concerned for his siblings and nothing else.

"Not talkin'? How about dis?" he pulled his gun out and cocked it, then pointed at his siblings, "No!" Zaniel said right away, Trayvon smirked, "Ther's ya voice. SO Zanny......how the FUCK did ya get that spot? you do av' any really leg in this place.....so HOW?" he asked him. Zaniel glared at him, "Its complicated." he said simply. "Oh reallY? Ya better tell me anyway."

Walter watched as he noticed a come return, "Sir."He stated. "Theres a few people building inside looks to be 3 hostages. Inside the build is just drugs, and cash. Looks to be blood as well."He reported.

Walter looked up as he shook his head. "Keep an eye, if there any chance of violence, Run in and save the hostages."He stated.

The other officer nodded and started to report to the others.

Back at the Police statation Talia was taken to. She was put by her fathers desk. She looked on it and noticed a photo of her mom and her dad. She had tears as she cried a bit. "Papa...."She said hoping that he'd at least one day forgive her.

Zaniel kept stoic, "He and I were related.....that it....didn't known unitl recently, told me to take over before she died...that's it." he said to Trayvon, who listened to every word, "Soooo related? And ya did say anythin?" he glared, "I didn't know em that much......" said Zaniel, "But it meant gettin' away from YOU, I was find dot do so." he said with defiance. "Tsk tsk tsk, wrong move Zanny Boi." he hit him across the face with the butt of his gun, "ZANNY!!" Chantel screamed, "Stop it!!"

"Shut yo mouth ya little bitch." warned Trayvon, Zaniel tried to lunge at him, but the other men held him back, but Trayvon did jump back when he tried, "Ho ho ho!!! Gettin' feisty there son!" he laughed in a mocking manner.

Talia watched as shte cops were frantically moving. She couldn't just sit and do nothing. She growled as she stood up. Taking the blanket with her as she ran out of the station, 'I can't just stand and do nothing!'she thought.

She noticed cops chasing her, but she took the alley, and started to run towards the warehouse. Polis cars chasing her, sirens loud and on. 'Hold on... for the love of god. Hold on' she prayed as she started to run through the alley. Stepping on a homless person by mistake, "Sorry!!!"She called but continued to run.

The cops around the warehouse saw violence had commenced and got moving in slowly, they had called in the SWAT teams to get them in clean and carefully. Zaniel still tried to get at Trayvon, no longer afraid of him. "Where id all this backbone come from?" chuckled Trayvon, "Pity you still gonna die like a dog." he smirked and then before she could pull the trigger, the heard a banging noise and they distracted them all, Zaniel felt the grips loosen a slightest and he pushed them back and then tackled Trayvon, then when SWAT people got invading the place all the men in the warehouse got scattering trying to get out, but ended up getting caught.

Trayvon and Zaniel were scuffling on the floor, while his siblings watched, "GET EM ZAN!!!!" shouted Zion. Chantel was just sacred for her brother. Znaiel got his gun out of his hand and pushed it against his head, "NO MORE!!!" Trayvon stopped and held his hands up, "......hey, easy there Zanny boi....."

"Easy....EASY......Don't FUCKIN' tell ME to be EASY." he growled pushing the gun into his head harder, "You threaten my family and you insult my sister..........You will die!" Trayvon smirked, "You dot av' the balls." he sniggered. Zaniel glared at him, but Trayvon quick reached for knife in his shirt pocket and stabbed him in the side, "AGGGGGHHHH!!!" he scream dbut them he pulled the trigger, shooting Trayvon right in the head, making Chantel squeal from the sound. Trayvon flopped on the ground and it was done.

"PUT THE GUN DOWN!!" he was surrounded by SWAT people, Guns being pointed at him. He dropped the gun and he laid on the ground instead, "I'm stabbed." he said not able to hold his arms up. The swat came over and checked with the minors and got putting Zaniel in cuffs, but they were calling for ambulance.

Talia got to the warehouse only to see people getting cuffed and and Ambulance coming. "Oh no...."She gasped as she ran and saw that Zion and Chantel was safe. "Oh thank god... Are you both okay." Seeing Chantel scared and out of her mind. "Wheres Zaniel?"She huffed as she looked and noticed her Father comings towards her and them. "Papa!"She gasped as she ran to him, "One of them... Tall, Dark skined, Long braids in his hair...."She huffed out trying to still catch her breath. "Where is he!?"She asked.

Walter looked at his daughter as he turned away. He was beyond disappointed in her. "Take her away as well... She's a wanted criminal."

One of the officers looked at him, "Bu-but sir... She's you're daughter."He stated as he Looked at Talia.

Walter looked at her, "also known as Lia... The main escort for this entire organization. The one who knew Exactly where Andre Johnson was this Entire time!"He shouted as he looked at her, "You're no daughter of mine... "He said, his eyes empty and disappointed.

Talia has not once knew how heart broken her own father was. The moment she was taken and cuffed. "Papa! No W-wait! I-I can explain!"She said as she cried, "Papa!!!!"She cried. She took a Glance at Zaniel in the Ambulance as she gasped, "Zaniel!"She called thanking god he was alright.

Walter turned to her and saw how worried she was for her friend. He sighs, "Take him to the hospital. When he's clear, bring him to the station for questioning. Get the others cuff them. He looked at Chantel and Zion, "He's going to be okay...."He said wrapping Chantel into a blanket and giving them something warm to drink. "Make sure Talia is locked up.... I want to check with her after all this over."He stated.

"Roger that."They answered

Chantel spotted her, "Lia!" she said. "YEs.....but...Zanny got hurt." she sniffled. Zion sighed and hugged Chantel, "They are getting him to the ambulance... he got stabbed........he...also shot Trayvon." he said. Zion sighed, and held Chantel close to him, comforting her.

Then Zaniel was being brought out on a stretcher topless and wrapped up, "Ugh....Lia.....Fuck." he groaned in pain. "Sorry miss, we need to get him to the hospital right away, he was stabbed deep." he said, getting him loaded into the back of the car and they closed the door, driving off with light flashing and alerts sounding. One of the other cops got Lia by the arm, "Hands behind your back Talia. You are under arrest." he said, cuffing her and getting her into his car taking her back to the station.

Chantel and Zion got escorted to the police station for questioning and to help keep them safe.

Walter sat Opposite of Talia. He did say much as he noticed the documentation. "Since you were 14 years old... 14 and you were working for him."He stated as he gripped his fist.

Talia kept her mouth shut. She knew about her dad's interrogation. And she had her right to remain silent.

Walter sighs as he knew his stubborn daughter, "Say's here Andre Johnson has a death certificate... those 3. Was his kids?"He asked her.

Talia looked down, She couldn't face her father. Tears streaming down her face. All she wanted was to make sure Zaniel, Chantel, and Zion were okay.

Walter was getting really upset now. He smashed his fist down on the table, Shacking it, "Talia Lilian! ANSWER ME NOW!"He shouted.

Talia eyes widen as she shook. She was loosing her composer. She gripped her hand tightly as she felt so lost. Bitting her tongue

Walter sighs as he couldn't believe his only daughter was the right hand man of a mafia organization. And the fact that she knew EVERYTHING, Down to the Police officers Location, and their schedule. To when they would be after certain areas. He was amazed that his own daughter could do that. yet he was played at home. She's being home when he got home. Making sure to take off for days when they had things together. Her grades not slipping for a second. He knew his daughter was an amazing being. But to have ALL that information stored in her brain. She would have been a great detective. A great under cover detective.

He looked to her. "Pumpkin...."He whispered. "Just talked to me... Like we used too."He said softly.

Talia knew her father very well. He always coaxed her thinking that he was her dad, and not an officer on duty. But she couldn't fall for it. "I'll take his place. Whatever charges. I'll take them. Just... Just don't take him away from his family... Please."She sobbed a bit.

Walter looked to his daughter as he was amazed to see her cry. His baby girl was sobbing like no tomorrow. He wanted to reach over and hug her, comfort her, but he couldn't. He sighs as he stood up and decided to looked down at her. He walked out of the interrogation office, with Talia inside, being cuffed and taken again. "Bring me Zaniel Johnson." He told the officer when he received the news that he was able to be released.

"Sir he's still in hospital, due to a stab wounds.....plus there is a couple situations about Zaniel Johnson." said the other detective. "He's been in and out of jail for ambler crimes and since he was a minor. But he shot the head culprit, Trayvon Higgins. He was wanted for may crimes, drugs, trafficking drugs and people....murders as well." he said. "We've yet to interview him." he said to Chief.

Meanwhile, Zaniel was in emergency to check on this stab would and make sure his vital organs were untouched. The x-rays found he was in the clear but he had to rest and being treated for the wound, stitching and cleaning. Zaniel was given a local anaesthetic and they were stitching him up after they had cleaned it all up. He groaned, still in pain from the earlier beating that day. He sighed, 'Another scar to the collection.' this was not the first he was stabbed....but he was surprised that he lived through it again. He was half expecting the cops to come in at any time....and he knew his siblings were safe....but he was worried about one person....Lia.

Walter sighs as he got up, "Than I'll talk to him myself." He stated as he grabbed for his coat. "If Talia would rather sacrifice her own freedom to save his sorry ass, than there more to it than that. Do you're research."He ordered. As he started to head to the hospital where he'd meet the man that Talia would give her own life to.

Talia was taken to a separate cell as they locked her up. She sat down on the bench as she wanted so badly to cry.

Walter walked to into the Hospital room and talked to a few doctors. He knocked on Zaniel room as he looked at him. "Thats one hell of a stab wound you got there."He said as he looked at him "Glad to see that it's not too bad."He looked at him and took a seat. "I'm Officer Rogers. Chiefs of Police. I wanted to asked you a couple questions." he said trying to be nice, but realized that it came out a bit harsh. "Sorry... I was just got done questioning one of the main people who is involved in this case. Hard to believe it's my own daughter."He said as he rambling, feeling still shocked about a lot of things. "Anyways...."He coughed. "Zaniel... Right?"He asked him.

"Yes sir." he nodded and went back to get looking for more information.

Zaniel was now laying in his bed, CHantel and Zion were allowed to be in the room with him. "I've called uncle Anton to come and watch you guys for a while until I see through this mess." he sighed. "But what if you go to jail again?" asked Zion, "They'll see us to foster homes!" "No Uncle Anton won't let that happen." he said with a frowned, "Don't care Your sister." he said. "Ugh....so sore..." Chantel held Zaniel's hand, "I don't wanna be separated...." she sniffled. "We won't baby girl." Zaniel got her come come closed and kissed her forehead. He paused hearing a knock on the door, "Yes?" he answered and a man cam into the room.

"Yeah... I am......Guys go outside and wait." he told his siblings, knowing this guy was a cop. But one thing perked his interest, "....You're lia's dad?....wait......you're a cop......fuck me...." eh growled on the end and flopped on his bed a bit, jut realising that Lia was a Cop's kid. "....You here to arrest me?" he asked him plain and simple.

Walter watched the two siblings leave as he looked at Zaniel, "Her real name is actually Talia Rogers. And yes... She's my daughter."He said with a bit of disappointment in his voice. "As for Arresting you. According to the file and a few witnesses It was out of Self Defense and protecting you're family."He stated. "But you'll be arrested still for being associate with Andre Johnson and his Prostitution Organization."He said as he took a seat. "However.... Talia is willing to take ALL those Charges and put herself in Jail for 50 years."He said as he looked at him.

"Son.... Explain to me how you even got mixed up in all this shit. If you're caring for you're siblings like I see you doing. You don't seem to be the type to constantly get arrested."He said looking at him. He gave him a soft smile. Something similar to what Talia gives him.

"Just tell me how I can help you."He said looking at him

He growled a little, she lied to him about her background when he was ALL open about himself to her. When he mentioned Jay he glared lightly,"............I didn't associate with him.......I only ever spoke to him once or twice before he kicked the bucket....I didn't even know who he was." he said. He frowned, "You...would allow your daughter to do that fuckin shit?" he glared more.

"............I was runnin with Trayvon....due to family loans and dat shit.....I got stuck in repaying it........Then I met you daughter at the brothel one night....we..did things and I left with the boy...but i saw he walk off on her own and saved her from bein' mugged.....I saw her a couple time outside the brothel.....jsut talon mina ya." he said. "Then one day I find out my fuckin dad was jay, her 'daddy' and she brought all the will and testament shit to me....I was trying to get my family to a better spot.....which were were doing and Trayvon kidnapped them.......and it all got pulled int a huge fuckin' mess." he sighed.

"HELP ME? I just wanna got into my new house WIHT my siblings and be left alone but that won't happen.............. you need to Tell....HER, that she won't survive in prison......she'sll be eaten alive...help your blood, NOT me."

Walter heard enough as he looked at him as he really wanted to punch the kid, but refrained. He stood up as he looked at him. "Now that I hear that. It makes sense why she wanted to help you."He stated and started to walk out. "When you get discharged We'll take you to court. If you're found Guilty, than you'll be put to Prison. If not...."He started.

"You can keep that house, and all the money that Andre Johnson left. IF and ONLY IF you join the Police academy."He said looking at him.

"As for Talia.... She's not going to be in there long. If anything she's probably put in a separate area. But you should probably thank her. Because of her calling me and risking her entire future... For you?"He said as he glared at the kid, "I'm surprised."He said and left the room.

Talia wasn't sure how long she was sitting there for. She heard the door unlock as she looked up and saw her own Father, "Talia."He called her. "Zaniel confessed, and he'll be put on trial."He stated looking at her. Her head hung low, her body shaking. He sighs as he walked over to her. You're trial will be with his. You have 24 hours to confess."He stated as he walked out.

"Papa...."She whispered to her father.

Walter stopped just before opening the door.

"I tried to get out.... I really did..."She said as she cried holding her shaking shoulders.

Walter sighs as he looked at his daughter. "Talia.... I want to help you, But you have to tell me everything that happened!"He stated looking at her.

Talia shook her head no. Her brain programed to keep her mouth shut for over 4 years.

Walter sighs as he opened the door and closed it behind her.

He froze hearing that, "Um........what?" he was dumbfounded, "You...want me to WHAT?!" Sitting up, "WHY do you want me to be a cop?!" he was uttered stunned but this 'blackmail'. "Thatmoney will go to my siblings if I go to prison." he said to him counting it. "I'M NOT leaving them with mother if i get put away again." he said seriously. "My uncle does not have a lot of money, even with a gym."

He watching him leave and sighed, "Me a cop..............." he looked at the ceiling and thought about Lia...no...Talia......'FUcking lied to me....' he was more angry about that, than anything.

The next day....

When Zaniel was allowed to be discharged, his siblings were back a the old house and he gave his keys to Zion and told him to tell their uncle abotut he new house sand to take them there. But he was being arrested when he was discharged, being escorted out of the hospital and to the city jail to be fully processed.

He sat in the back of the cop car, just remaining stoic and quiet, he didn't really sleep last night and he looked a mess still. He was fuming about Talia still, and wasn't sure how he would react if he saw her again.

Talia was looking at the blank cell walls. Her mind blank, her spirit was shattered. She looked like a completely different person.

She heard the doors open as she looked up. It was a different officer who cuffed her, "You're up with her trial."He stated as he pulled her. When she left the station. Her eyes winced, cameras lights, noice from the flashes and reported. Asking her questioned. She was being pushed through the crow as she got into the back seat of a cop car to drive to the court house.

She arrived at the court house. She looked down as she saw her Father was there as well.He was on Trial for just being her father.

She felt sick to her stomach. Large bags under her eyes, Her hair a hot mess.

Walter took a glance at his daughter and saw the state she was in, "Talia...."He whispered as she was taken. He clentched his fist as he tried his best to keep his cool. He noticed another Cop car with Zaniel in the back. He sighs as he went down and opened the car door. "Trial first."He stated as he cuffed him and headed towards the areas for the trial.

It took a while, but everyone was finally seated and ready to begin. "I call to Order to bring Talia Rogers to the Stand."The lawyer motioned.

Talia stood up, her emotions gone as she got to the stand. She placed her hand on the book, "Talia Lilian Rogers, Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the Truth?"He asked.

Talia sighs as she nodded, "I do."She answer.

The judge nodded, "You may all be seated."He stated.

The lawyer walked up as he looked at all the documentation in front of him. "Mrs. Rogers. Accoding to this... You started your entire organization with Andre Johnson at the age of 14. Is that correct."He started.

Talia took a deep breath, her voice shaking a bit."Yes." She answered. "What got you into that Mess Mrs. Rogers."He asked.

Talia was having a flash back to her first relationship, the blackmail, the selling, the porn videos being published. Everything in fell swoop.
"I was Blackmailed by my ex boyfriend Alexander Rice. It was my frist real relationship and I wanted to make him happy so I made some video only to be for him. he used those video to black mail me, and the videos were launched to Andre Jonson. Alexander than SOLD me to Andrea Johnson and threatened me stated that if I were to say anything, not only would everyone that I loved closed to me would die, but I would die as well." She said her voice completely shaking. Her past flooding to her memories. She had tears but kept going. "After being sold. I started in the Porn industry under the code name Lia."She said. "Since than Andre Jonson looked after me. As soon as I hit 18, he started to use me to pleasure others to make him money, and to build his empire."She said.

The lawyer looked at her. "Mrs. Rogers. You were known to be Andre Jonson's Right hand man. The one in charge of where the drugs were dealt, who slept with who, and where the Polic Officers would be at that evening." He started. "How did you gather so much information in such a short amount of time?"He asked her.

She looked out and saw Zaniel. She cried as she looked down, "I knew my fathers schedule like the back of my hand. I knew the rotation, I knew the tracking. I used it to Jay's advantage to stay out of trouble all these years."She said.

Walter was listening to this and couldn't believe just how much was burdened on Talia's Shoulder. His heart ached for her.

The lawyer looked at her, "So you used that information that was confidential for Andre's advantage. Is that Correct?"He asked

Talia Nodded, "Yes."She answer.

The lawyer looked at further documentation. "How do you know Andre's oldest son Zaniel."He asked her.

Talia clenched her first. "It was a night where Jay had a Final Delivery with Trayvon. It was a sort of a successful night, They deal was done, the guys came to the Brothel to celebrate. He was one of them. I was the one who pleasured and received payment."She admitted. "After that session was over. I went home as quickly as possible. He saved me int he Alley from being killed from another client of mine."She said. "After that, After a few more times of running into each other. I found out he was Jay's Oldest Son. After Jay died that evening. He wrote a will stating that He wanted Zaniel in charge. And to look after me. Over time and coming know Zaniel's story I wanted to help him get to a better place. So I dug further and found the money that was Left for them and gave it to them."She said.

The Lawyer looked, "Would you say you have feelings for Zaniel...?"He asked

Talia took a deep breath and nodded her head yes. "Yes you're honor."She whispered. bitting her tongue.

Walter decided to get up and leave the court room. Not able to take anymore of it.

Zaniel didn't spek when Walter approached him, he was remaining quiet at this time. He was escorted to the courtroom and was brought in, hearing things had been gotten underway. He saw Talia and sighed a little, but kept his expression stoic. He was sat down in a seat not far for where she was standing and he had two guards with him, still cuffed. But he was used to this. He listened in one the questions and all of Talia's answers. But when the questions came up about 'feelings' he perked up and looked at her, wanting to look at her when she answered that, once again he sighed. 'Fuck me this is not going to go well for either of us.' he thought to himself.

Zaniel watched as her dad left the courtroom, '.....he really didn't know......' he looked at Talia, "........." his stare strong.

The lawyer looked at Talia and than turned to the Judge, "No further Questions you're Honor."He stated.

Talia looked as saw the other laywer walking up. "Mrs. Rogers."He stated as he looked at her. "Is it true you kept a double standard for you life. Just to not be found out. All that work for an 18 year old. Seems like a lot of work."He started.

Talia looked at the Lawyer but than looked down. "Yes. I kept a side only my father side, and another side that Andre saw. I did my best NOT to mix the two."She stated.

The lawyer looked at Talia as he smirked, "Did you're two life get mixed the moment you met Zaniel out side the Brothel?"He asked.

Talia clentched her teeth. She had to answer,"Y-Yes."She stuttered out.

The lawyer looked at the police report. "When you told Officer Rogers that you would take the charges for Zaniel. Why is that?"He teased a bit.

The other Lawyer quickly objected. "You're honor Objecting! This is Harassment!"He called The judge ignored the objection and waited for Talia's answer. She looked down feeling stupid and embarrassed. "I.... I said it because I already sacrificed my whole change of things for him. I thought why not my own life. A life for a Life."She said as she looked up and saw Zaniel. Her eyes quickly looked away. "He did everything to protect his family. Jay did nothing, His mother did nothing but make it worse for him and his siblings. I just wanted for them to have a way out." She whispered.

The lawyer looked as he turned, "Mrs. Rogers... because of the crimes you've committed. I hope you realize the charges for EVERYTHING You've done from Pornography to Prostitution, to drug dealing, murder is a life sentence. You still want to do all that... For this Trash?"He asked pointing to Zaniel.

Now that ticked Talia off. She stood up as she glared at the man. "He probably is a better person than you are! He's done nothing but do his best to support his family! He's cared for them, And even took a weight of a parent for them! And you call him trash!" She shouted in the court room. "I didn't want him to get mixed up with all the stupid shit that I was doing! The least I could do was find him a way out and for him to live a better life than I was. My life was dead the moment my Ex SOLD me to Jay. The only Light I saw was him! Zaniel listened to all the words and he sighed, 'Fuck........' he felt like it was his fault this was all happening now. He rubbed his face a bit, not caring about his injuries.
