Streets: Zaniel & Talia

He glared at that image and how he's making as his HE was the issue, "Yes I did, but he also STABBED me in the right side of me. I shot him in self-defence AND because he kidnapped MY SIBLINGS." he said with annoyance in his tone. "That 'victim' is the REAL problem in my neighbourhood....and I'm GLAD he's gone." he said. "I've witnessed him commit many bad things and killing people to him was like a walk in the park....Casual."

The lawyer growled under his breath. “No further questions your honor”

Next the other lawyer looked at zaniel as he got his documentation. “Zaniel. Is it true that you were working for Trayvon to repay for something your mother did?” He asked him “if so... how much money was taken?” He asked him

Talia looked and saw her father come back as she looked up and saw zaniel. She was worried for him. She was worried sick about his siblings. She can’t b I eve she admitted having feelings for him in court. ‘Well this is one hell of a way’ she thought as she but her tongue.

"...........Yes I was working with him. Since I was 14-15 years old." he said, "My mama ran off with some random guy to avoid it all and left me and my siblings to swim with the sharks." he said, "I took it on me to keep my siblings safe." he said, "Trayvon would have shot us all if I had not. And my siblings didn't deserve that.....and the amount.......bout a 30 maybe 60 grand....I am not totally sure...all I knew was it was gonna take a long time..."

The lawyer looked at him as he looked at the documents again, "Zaniel. This isn't the first time you've been arrested correct? The arrest that did happen in the past. Were they associate with Trayvon?"He asked calmly.

The other Lawyer growled as he stood up, "Objection!"He called. He was defended for Trayvon, even though he was dead. But if the amount that was for him. He'd be getting a HUGE amount of money.

The judge looked at the lawyer, "Overruled."He said and looked down at Zaniel. "You can answer."He said.

Talia watched with intense Clenching her first at that Lawyer. She knew she'd seen him, and she remembers that he was someone working for Trayvon. She didn't realize that he was a lawyer, let alone one of the top ones. 'scum bag' she thought as she looked over at Zaniel. Worried for him.

"No. It isn't." he said, he as not gonna hid anything at this point, he looked at the prick defend Trayvon and sighed, 'Dumbass.' he thought to himself. "Yes they were...mainly it was so I took the fall so he'd get away." he answered. "I had to take the fall or again my siblings would be in trouble. So..." he shrugged, i had to do it...I've been stabbed TWICE now, been shot a couple times and I've live through them all." he said, listing things that have happened to him, which explained his scars.

Talia figureds that was the deal. She looked at him as she gulped.

The lawyer nodded his head as he looked at him. "You're Honor. Ladies and Gentleman of the Jury. This man simply was manipulated and black mailed. I personally think he's not guilty."He stated. "Nor further questions you're honor.""

The judge nodded as he looked to Zaniel. "You may step down. The jury now will begin the discussion. We'd like all for everyone to take a break if possible. We will resume in 2 hours."He stated.

The cops looked at Talia and took her cuffed hands and started to take her to the back. She tried to turn to Zaniel as she wanted to say something, but she couldn't. Her voice wouldn't come out.

She was taken as she felt broken even more. More than when her own love sold her. She shook her head to try and get those thoughts as she wanted to come up to a new verdict. This think of a way out of this. She's done her research. She could win the jury over this.

Zaniel was then escorted out after Talia and was escorted to a private cell to wait out the jury. Once they uncuffed him and he was left alone in his cell he sighed, sitting on the bed carefully, still sore from his stab wound. "........." he was worried about his siblings and what would happen if he couldn't get outta here. But one thing he was not sure of was Talia.......she loved him? When did she show that to him? Well it was probably more obvious than he realised, she wanted him and his siblings in a good and well spot and she spoke with him like an equal and he treated like so in return....but there was one thing Zaniel couldn't stand.....being lied to his face.

Talia was sent to another cell as she was seated. She noticed her Father coming into the door as he looked at her.

She looked down as she didn't want to see his face. She knew the disappointed look he'll have. She wasn't ready to face that. Not when she had to clear up a few things. "Talia."He called to her.

Talia sighs as she finally looked up and saw her father. "I could have helped you. We could have found a way."She said.

Talia laughed a bit, "Papa... I was 14. I didn't know what was the right answer at the time, and to be honest.I didn't want to lose you. I wouldn't know what to do if Jay had Trayvon come after you and have you killed."She told him

Walter looked at his daughter as he looked down. "I just wish... You didn't put so much weight on you're shoulders all the time."He said looking at her.

"I guess you can say it's the guilt of killing you're one true love."She replied back in a cold tone. Walter was a bit shocked, "Talia it wasn't you're fault! How many times do I have to tell you that." He shouted.

Talia had tears in her eyes, "Yeah well it still sucks knowing that you are a murder the moment you're born! I always did EVERYTHING you told me to Papa! No once did I ever do something that would twist you're thoughts! And to be Honest. I still didn't!"She said as she was going to fight back. Especially for what she believed in. "I enjoy the Money I make. I also enjoy the sex. I'm NOT going to let Trayvon take everything I worked very hard for! And I have the proof!"She stated.

Walter was shocked at his daughters outrage. It was the same fire her mother hand when they were both younger. He looked at her with a raised brow as he sighs and let a small smile, "If you say so pumpkin. You're smart. You'll wiggled out of this somehow."He said looking at her and started to walk out of the cell.

Talia stood up as she ran to her father and hugged him tightly. "I'm sorry I never told you. But please trust me... And please bring my lawyer to me."She asked softly.

Walter sighs as he patted her head. "Sure thing." He said.

Talia waited as she noticed the clean cut lawyer that was defending her and Zaniel. "Mrs Rogers?"He asked as he looked at her. "Can I help you?"He asked as he took a seat across form her. "Yes..."She said softly. "Back at the Brothel There was documents that I've kept for the last 4 years that I've been doing. They are in multiple folders. Can you bring those. What I was worker, and What Jay was working. I can prove that it wasn't illegal. And that it's actually a TRUE Corporation."She stated looking at him seriously.

The lawyer sighed. He wanted to win the case, but he was now out of luck. "Fine.... I'll have someone retrieve the documents. I'll be back soon."He stated as he stood up.

Talia smiled. She had this in the bag. She will win both her's and Zaniel case.

Zaniel was laying on the simple bed in his cell, not caring if someone came to see him or not. He forbade his siblings to come around for this, not wanting them involved with the courts or this mess at all. He sighed, 'Why didn't she just tell me about it?......was it really a secret? Was she undercover.....UGH too many thoughts!!!' he shook and held his head, "FUck I need a nap.....but I'm not tired.........." he sighed.

The officer unlocked Zaniel's Cell. "Come on. Were finishing up this case... Seems like you and that girl has the upper hand."He stated as he cuffed Zaniel's wrist. He brought him back to the court room. The jury all there.

The lawyer had a few additional documents. All tax forums, Contractor forums, Employer documentation, Records to the IRS, Government, and Legal notices. Transportation and Logistics forums for the drugs being brought and distributed to pharmacies, and hospitals for Caner patients . The lawyer was shocked that all the proof of documented the girl had it all. "Well.. looks like we might just win this case."He stated as he looked at Talia. "How the hell were able to do all this. I'm surprised you're not a Lawyer by now."He said looking at her.

Talia shrugged her shoulders.

The judge came as they all stood up. "Jury... Have you come to you're Verdict."

The head jury looked and turned to the Lawyer, "You're honor. We feel that there is more proof that can be accessed."He stated.

The Lawyer stood up. "You're Honor. I'd like to call Talia Rogers back up to the stand."He stated.

The judge nodded. Talia smiled as she felt more confident. She got tot he stand. Trayvon's layer looked like he was sweating bullets. She smirked. As the Lawyer came up to her. "Mrs. Rogers... What would you call you're Title for you're Job."He asked her.

Talia looked at him, "I'm known as an Escort. Not a Prostitute. Thought my position does include Sex, it's not my main priority."She stated. "And According the Bolton Laws and Regulations. Escorts is not an Illegal job."She stated.

The lawyer nodded, "That is correct. Now as an Escort, Did you pay you're Taxes?"He asked.

Talia nodded, "Yes. All Contractors, Employee's have paid their taxes. The documentation is proof. They are all legal and it's a legitimate profession in our City."She stated with Confidence.

"And the Drugs?" the Lawyer asked.

"The drugs that were distributed were strictly for Medical use for all the hospitals and Pharmacies. Most of the Drugs and Pharmaceutical medicine were signed off by legal Doctors and Attorneys.The original Distribution was for just them. It wasn't till Trayvon came, stating he had a Better deal. He was only a distributor for it. But he got into a bind with the government stating that his work wasn't in Accordance."She said.

The lawyer that was one Trayvons sighed stood up, "Objection!"He called.

The judge glared at him, "Overruled. You will not interrupt again Do you understand Mr. Lawson."He stated.

The Lawyer sat down as he was getting angry now. 'that little bitch... she had ALL this information. "He thought.

Talia's Lawyer looked at her. "And because you were in Accordance to the Law and regulations. Do you believe what you did was right?" He asked her.

Talia looked down, "I don't believe it was a right or wrong thing. Personally it's a survival thing. For those that were contracted to work for us. We gave them something. We took a commission off the cut, a portion of that commission when to their taxes we put away for them. It was a livelihood for a lot of men and women who work at our corporation. Some had family, kids. It was a job that they were willing to work."She said.

Talias lawyer looked at her, "Now these medical examinations documents. Were these to test if you're clients, as well as the workers to be tested?"He asked

Talia nodded, "Yes. We had EVERYONE be tested. Our girls were constantly tested to make sure that they were clean. As well as the Clients. We always had a medical record of them to make sure of it. Any client that came that was clean, we'd turn away."She said looking at him.

The lawyer was beyond amazed. "No further Questions you're Honor. Ladies and Gentleman of the Jury. This was just an organization. This single girl was able to record and keep track of all documentation as a CEO of a company would. A company that gave back to the community with Jobs, Medicines, and much more. Personally I think that she's not guilty for doing a Profession that anyone of us would do."He finished.

The judged looked at Talia and gave her a small smile, "Mrs. Rogers you may step down."He stated.

Talia smiled as she felt better, knowing she did the right thing and made sure to give the people who are still working there a job. If not, make it a better corporation.

Walter was beyond shocked. His little girl was a CEO to a company that not only brought things to the community, but made sure to follow all the legal regulations behind in. He laughed a bit, not surprised.


The jury stepped out to talk the additional details.

He perked an eyebrow at that comment but remained quiet as he was cuffed again.

Once back in court, Zaniel exhaled, feeling a little nervous now, even wight hat comment the cop made. Zaniel blinked hearing there was more evidence, 'MORE, what was not shown before?' he wondered as the papers were brought out and then they called Talia to the stand, "You better not play martyr." he whispered ever so quietly.

Zaniel sat there and was wide eyed, he didn't get to look over everything yet and didn't realise just how much work there really was going on within that Brothel, 'Holy fuck she had all that hidden away?' he sighed and slumped in his chair a little, feeling a little dumb as he continued to listen in.

Zaniel looked at her, 'You knew....why didn't you just show it earlier?' he thought to himself, not wanting to talk aloud in the court until they were able to even talk properly.

The jury returned with their own verdict. "You're Honor.... We find Trayvon to be Guilty. And Talia Rogers and Zaniel Johnson not Guilty, However UNDER certain circumstances. Because of the Death of Trayvon. We still find Zaniel Jonson not guilt due to Protection and self defense."They stated.

Talia gasped as she hugged her Lawyer, "We did it!!"She shouted super happy. The lawyer waited for anything else.

"The jury also finds that Talia Rogers be under House arrest for 6 months, Under the Supervision of Officer Rogers. At least till things die down a bit. Talia Rogers have a choice if she wishes to continue to work. As for Zaniel Johnson, He is free do to go his home, along with Anything belonging from his late Father" They state, "But is also under House arrest under the Supervision of Officer Rogers till further notice."They stated and decided to leave the room.

The Lawyer on Trayvons side was dumb founded, "H-How... How can that...B-Bitch"He gasped out.

Walter went to the Lawyers side "One more word out of you... And I won't hesitate to take you outside."He stated with a cold glare.

The lawyer gulped and back away.

Walker looked and went to Zaniel and un cuffed him, "You're free to go."He stated to him and went to Talia and un cuffed her as well. She Hugged her father happily, "You're still grounded for 6 months."He stated to her.

Talia laughed, "I know papa.... I know...."She said as she had tears of relief. She was beyond happy to get out of it. She noticed Zaniel as she looked down. She wasn't sure what to say to him. She knew she owed him an apology. She sighs as she decided to walk up to him and look up at him, "Zaniel... I..... I'm sorry."She said softly. "And I hope that things will be better for you."She said as she looked down. not sure what to feel. She confessed for all of the court to hear, but at the same time. She was nervous. She wasn't sure how he'd react. He'd be angry at her. That was for sure.

Zaniel sighed in relief hearing the words 'not Guilty' come out of their mouthes and nodded to the jury. He sighed about the house arrest part, but it was better than jail. He rubbed his wrists after he was uncuffed and nodded to Walter, "Yeah. I'm going to my siblings." he said simply. He looked at Talia, ".......thanks....But i ned time away from all this shit." he said to her and he got leaving the court room.

He was able to get his wallet and other items back from the police station and took a cab to the old house, where his Uncle Anton, Chantel and Zion were waiting. Chantel raced to her big brother and almost tackled him, "Hey hey, easy baby girl. I'm still hurtin'." he said with a smile.

"I'm just glad your back!" she sniffled. Zion came over, "Ya good?" he asked Zaniel, "Not guilty, self defence, but I gotta be monitored for a while." he said. he noticed most of the stuff was almost out of the hovel they used to live in, "Come on, let's get the rest of this stuff to the new house." he smiled happily. Anton came over to his nephew, "I'll help ya with this all and I'll let ya be. If ya need a job come to the gym." he said to Zaniel. "I'll keep dat in mind, but I've something else I gotta deal wit first before dat." he said.

Talia was expecting that, but for some reason it still hurt. She nodded as she watched him leave.

She sighs as she looked at her father and hugged him tightly. "Come on... Lets get you showered and home. You stink."He said.

Talia groaned. "I need a bath... Not a shower." sHe stated.

Walter nodded as he kissed her forehead, "Come on you."He said as he lead her to the car and got her home.

Talia got home as she couldn't believe how nice it was to be home. She went to the door as she looked down, "Papa..."She called.

Walter walked up to the door and looked down at her, "It's going to be okay... But seriously. You're in serious trouble. Any boy you come into contact with I want to make sure."he grumbled.

Talia laughed a bit. "Sure thing dad."She said as she wanted to humor him. She knew she couldn't leave the house for a while. And she was excepting of that. She went inside and decided to bath with a few bath bombs. She got into the nice hot tube as she groaned. Her body sore. She was tired. She looked up at the ceiling. "I'm so stupid..."She thought as she cried a bit trying to clean all the grim and scum off her body. Whipping the tears from her eyes.

Spending the rest of the night moving the rest of their belongings into they new house, along with Bullet, who was excited for the new smells and new back yard, with more space. Anton helped get the last box in he groaned, "Ohhh damn i'm too old for this. Aight! You lot have a good night and enjoy your new place, I'll keep in touch. You be careful boy." he pointed at Zaniel, "Yes Uncle." he said and bidded him good night. They got unpacking things, washing them for the kitchen and bathroom, all the little touches to make this place officially theirs. Zaniel sighed, his mind thinking about that weird offer Chief Roger offered him, "ME a cop?" he thought it was a joke. He then remember when he was like 5, he thought being a cop wouldn't have been cool, but that changed as he grew older. It was now fish at night and before that he and ordered pizza for dinner and planned to cook a bit more after everything of set and ready in the house. He remembered Chantel still had that recital in a couple nights and had to keep to that....and that she wanted Talia to come along.

A a few days went by and when his siblings were at school, he looked a this phone and at Talia's number, "..........." he and to talk to her old man about that offer and he texted Talia.

'Hey.' he sent a simple one to see if she would even respond.

Talia was beyond Bored out of her mind. Being under house arrest was harder on her. She noticed her phone go off. She blinked as she thought it might be her dad. She looked at the message and saw that it was Zaniel. Just a simple Hi. She thought he would still be mad at her, "hi."She replied back. But kept it simple. She knew her dad was making sure he was under house arrest, But she also knew about the agreement that her father made to him.

She knew that the moment that happened She would have to COMPLETELY take over Jay's positions. Well she managed to keep it this long. She knew everyone else can keep everyone easy, but it wasn't easy with her being under house arrest. The brothel knew what was going on, and everyone there helped buy pulling more weight around the place and making sure things were done properly. She was very thankful for it.

She sighs as she put her phone down, She wanted to be more clingy to him, but she couldn't. She had to respect his space. When he was ready to come around he would be. She figured it would have something to do with getting a hold of her dad or something. But she waited.

He saw she responded and he sent the message, 'I need to talk to ya old man 1 on 1, when's he off work?" he asked as he spelt out the message and sent it on to her, he didn't want to go to the police station to ask about this offer he had. He sighed as he thought as well, "And How u holding' up?" he thought he should ask, known her she was probably going crazy not being allowed to go out on her usual routine, keeping herself busy and what not.

She looked at his response and laughed a bit. "He never changes."She said softly to herself. "He should be off around 5 pm tonight. I can give you his number so you can contact hims directly. It's xxx-xxx-xxxx "She texted. "And I'm fine... Thank you for asking. How are you and you're family?"She kept it short.

It's not that she wasn't worried. She was, but at the same time. She didn't know where she and him stood.

She sighs as she sent the message and got to her computer and decided to work on stuff from home. Mostly tax stuff since those will be do soon. Thankfully she was able to still work from home. So she wasn't completely bored out of her mind. She honestly missed the sex. Being under house arrest sucked, since while her dad was at work. She only had toys at home that she was able to hide from him. But it's not the same. She couldn't wait to get back to work. And she finally told herself, that she would not fall for someone again. Clients are Clients. No one else.

He got the number and wrote it down to add it in a little bit, 'Good. Gotta talk wit him about something he said 2 me.' he texted back. 'We r good. In the new house and Bullet likes the backyard. Also, you bored yet?' he tease her a bit, but not much, still not sure how he was feeling about her. Bullet came into his room and sat at his feet, as if he knew he talking to Talia. He looked to him and shrugged taking a photo of his godly pit bull, 'Funny bough.' he sent the pic to her of the happy pit bull.

There was one thing he knew he was missing about Talia....her company...in more way than one.

Talia saw his responce and thought it was odd how he was texting her so much, "Wasn't he suppose to be mad at me or something? Jesus.. He's more moody than I am."She said as she looked at his message and saw the picture of Bullet. She cooed. "AAAAAWWWWW"She texted back. With a cute heart emoji. "Bullet! I'm so glad he's doing alright"She type. "I'm glad you are liking the new house. I'm also glad everyone is doing well. And yes I'm a little bored, but still doing paper work for Work. Tax season and what not."She typed out.

She wasn't sure if she wanted to pry but thought she could ask, "Are you thinking about joining the Police Academy?"She typed.

He couldn't help but chuckle at that response, 'He walks in da room as if he KNEW i be talkin 2 ya.' he sent. He then sighed and thought he should legitiammly have a chat with her in person....but he wondered if she would even want to see his face after all the craziness that has happens not too long ago...sure three days have gone by but he can't leave the house.

"Fuck it." he then got ringing her. Waiting to see if she would pick up, he looked at Bullet, "I know i know, i'm a dumbass."

Talia got the message and giggled. But than saw her phone ringing. She gulped as she wasn't sure if she should pick up. 'damnit...'She said and answer, "Hello?"She asked feeling a little nervous herself. And heard his comment to what she figured was Bullet, "Now why are you calling yourself a dumbass?"She asked as she giggled a bit on the other side, "Whats up?"She asked him, curious as to why he was calling her when he could have texted her. "Everything okay?"She asked him softly with worry.

"Got sick of typin'....." he said, "I was talkin to the dog." he thought she didn't hear that part and sighed. "Nothin's wrong....." he assured her, "WE...need to talk about what went down." he said simply, "I don't like just hangin' shit out like it is now." he said, laying back on his bed. "But i wish I could do this in person and not stuck like this......."

"But yeah......so what is to happen with the brothel....can't really be run with us both outta the picture." he said, wondering about that. "Also....i figured you would know this, but you know yo old man offers me to attend the Police academy?" he asked.

Talia nodded as she understood what he was saying, "I know... Same... and I agree."She said as she took a deep breath. "I did come across an idea, but when my dad said he offer it to you. I honestly think you should take it and not worry about the Brothel. At the moment things are under control. The girls and everyone is fine so."She said as she felt her heart breaking a bit. "At least till I get off house arrest."She said as she played with her hair.


She felt her body shaking. This was the first time in days they talked. And she wanted to see him. A weird urge, but she couldn't bring herself to say anything about it. "But ultimately it's up to you if you take it."She said softly looking down, stopping all her typing as she focused on the phone call.

"I think you should sell it to someone else and find a better life Li-..." he almost called her by the name he knew her by, "I also don't know what I am to call you." he sighed. "I know you are attached to the place and what not.....but Your smarts can be used in something better." he he suggested. "I'm honestly surprised he offer me that BEFORE i was sentenced..........I never pictured myself as a cop." he said, "......But I would need to be away and I can't leave Chantel and Zion unattended. Not until Zion is 18 and I can leave them both alone and he can keep watch over Chantel and he can watch over things at home while I'm gone." he said, "My uncle is too old to watch over thing."
