Streets: Zaniel & Talia

Talia nodded, "You can still call me Lia if you want. If it's easier for you."She said She smiled surprised that he suggest it. "Zaniel. If I didn't love my job, I wouldn't be going so far with it. Yes in the beginning it sucked for me. But I enjoy the money I make, and I enjoy being able to have it go the way it is. I might not be able to keep up with the sex part or being an escort. But I worked really hard to save it. I can't give to just anyone."She said softly.

"For me... Protecting that place is like you protecting you're family. You'd do anything to risk you're own life. And because of that company has taught me, or from what I've learned on my own with it. I can't just give it up."She told him honestly.

"My dad isn't dumb. He's very aware of the community and he's also knowledgable what he can to help people. even if it means giving someone a chance."She said softly with a small smile. "The academy doesn't start till after our house arrest is over. Zion turns 18 in a month or two."She said remember their birthday. "As for Chantel, With the new schools she's probably able to keep her busy, and I'm sure the Academy will work with you till they are older for you to a normal 9-5 shift."She encouraged. "Honestly. I think you'll be a great cop. Especially giving inspiration to people who was in similar situation as you, Having them see you and you be like a light to them. I'm sure the Officers would enjoy having you as an addition too."She said encouraging him.

".......................Don't I have the rights to that business? What if one day I wanted to sell it?" he asked her and seriously. "I really think you could use your smarts in a different place and not need to fuck for it." eh said, being serious about that, but he understood what she meant whens he wanted to protect it. ".....Lia....I'm sure that brothel can be made into a different business, instead of a fuck house." he said, "I think you could transform it into something better." he said.

".......I'v got to wait for a few months until then....but I've got to attend dance recitals for Chantel...in speaking of, she wants you to attend that one recital, but i might have to tell her you can't at this time." he sighed, he hated disappointing his sister.

Talia forgot that he did. Technically the business was his. She looked down as she remember, jay never gave it to her. He gave it to his son. She only had to do the work. She laughed a bit, "Yeah you're right....."She said softly. "I might be able to transform it to something different if I really wanted to, but like you said. It's you're Business I'm just a bitch that does all the work."She said in a bitter tone.

"Tell her I'm sorry.... I'll send her flowers the night of. And wish her good luck for me."She said. "I need to go..."She said as she felt just utter defeat. She hung up as she couldn't talk at the moment. She rested her head on her desk and saw all the tax paper works. She angrily shoved all the papers off, "Do it yourself!"She said as she stormed out of her room and needing to run on the treadmill to release her anger.

He heard her tone, "Hey hey, don't you get pissy. I'm just saying. I'm not trying to get ya to leave it, i'm trying to make something better than dat." he said, "And I'm NOT threatening to sell it. Not without real cause." he said, he could tell she as angry.

"Lia, dont-" too late and he sighed, ".................I was fucking complimenting her smarts and she gets angry............women." he sighed and dropped his phone on the bed and stared at the ceiling, saddened he would have to disappoint his sister.

Around about 4:30 Zaniel finally sent a text to Walter saying he needed to speak with him about a couple things as soon as possible and would prefer to speak in person. Chantel and Zion noticed that Zaniel hadn't spoken much this evening, but decided not to bother him. Zaniel hadn't told his sister the disspointing news yet, just letting them watch TV for a bit while he got dinner prepped for tonight. He had to order on line for groceries and have them delivered to the house in the meantime, since he couldn't leave the house.

Walter got the text. He had an idea that Talia gave him his number. He texted back. "IF you want I can stop by after work to you're place and we can talk about details. "He texted.

Walter was able to get out of work a little early so he decided to head home and change out of his uniform. He got home as he noticed the treadmill was going. She sighs as he knew that his daughter was going stir crazy. He headed to the personal gym room and saw her running. "Pumpkin?"He called.

Talia stopped as he looked at him. She stoped the machine as she took a couple deep breaths. Her anger finalyl subsiding. "Hey papa... You're home early."She said.

Walter nodded, "Yeah I'm about to change and stop at Zaniel house. Talk about details... Do you want to go?"he asked her.

Talia huffed as she looked away, "Probably better if I didn't."She said. "I'm mad at him."She hugged.

Walter sighs. He was hoping that those two wouldn't try and be in a relationship, but fate had other ideas. "What did he say?"He asked As he took a seat.

Talia got off the machine. "he was saying that he was thinking about seriously selling the company Or at least turning it into something better... But than I realized that all that work I did to protect it, Is for nothing."She said feeling the angry boiling up again.

Walter nodded, "He's probably right. He technically owns the company. Yet you took it upon yourself to protect it. When you didn't have to. And he's also right. You probably could turn it into something besides a "Sex"House."He stated as he looked at her, "Personally I'd rather you NOT go back to work there after all this is blow over. Number one. I don't want you getting pregnant by some un known person."

Talia narrowed her eyes at her father, "Really papa... Really?"She asked, "I've been doing this for how long and I've yet to get pregnant."She said

Walter glared at her, "Still doesn't make it right. I was hoping you'd save yourself for someone for marriage. But now you can't."He said "The point is, I don't think he was trying to anger you. Maybe he was trying to compliment you. Or he likes you and doesn't you having sex with anyone else. Not that I really approve of you're relationship with him yet..."He stated.

Talia laughed a bit, "Psh Please dad... Me be in a relationship with him. He probably wouldn't want that. I've already told myself that I wouldn't want to fall in love till I'm done with this company."She stated

Walter sighs, "Thats really not a choice for you to decided now is it...?"He asked her. Talia stopped and thought for a minute. "Just come with me. And talk with him face to face. I'm sure his siblings will be happy to see you too."He said with a small smile. "Come on. It'll be nice to get out for a bit. We'll stop for ice cream on the way home.

Talia blushed a bit. She did like the sound of ice cream. She was such a kid at heart. "Fine.... Let me shower."She said as she grabbed her towel to wipe the sweat off her body.

Walter nodded as he left the room and changed out of his uniform. In his tan pants, a dark blue polo and a jacket. He waited for his daughter as he heard her come down the stairs. "You ready?"he asked her. He took a look at and saw how much more grown up she looked.

She was wearing black pants, with a cute top jade green, Her glasses on, but her hair down. He was still a bit damp, but he was a ough dry. "Lets go..."She said softly.

Walter nodded as he lead her out and started to walk over there. "I figure you know where he lives?"He asked her.

Talia blushed and nodded as she started to show him to the house. They arrived to the house. Walter went up the step and knocked on the door. Talia was standing behind him as she felt stupid for thinking this was a good idea.

Zaniel heard the phone and looked at it and saw Walter replied and agreed. He sent sent a text back, 'That's fine. See you when ya get here.' he placed the phone down and looked to his siblings, "Officer Rogers is comin' over in a while, You two will best be doing homework when he does aight?"

"Yes Zanny." said Chantel and Zion grunted in reply. He got dinner ready and they all sat at the table eating, getting them fed before Walter as to arrived. Not long after dinner, as he was washing dishes. He heard a knock at the door and Bullet barking, "Easy Bullet!' he called out, "You two, go on." he motioned them both to head on to their rooms.

Zaniel got a cloth and dried his hands on the way over to the door and peaked though and saw Walter, he unlocked the door, "Hey." he said but paused seeing thatTalia was with him. He sighed, "....Am i getting lectured for annoying her?" he asked dryly.

Walter laughed a bit, "No. If anything I think this one owes you an apology."He stated as he looked at Talia.

Talia looked down, but than saw Bullet as she gasp and smiled at the pup. "Bullet!"she said and pet him happily. She missed him more if anything.

Walter saw that the Pit bull was not aggressive at all. He smiled as he looked at Zaniel. "May we come in...?"He asked

They both walked in as Talia saw the house was starting to get filled with items. There were still some stuff that needed to be packed but not by much. She noticed Zaniel take a seat at the cough as they both did the Same.

Walter took a seat and groaned. "Damn these old bones."He grumbled.

Talia looked at her dad, "You're not that old..."She stated at him.

Walter laughed a bit, "No you're Right. But I have a trouble making daughter thats giving me more grays than I deserve."He stated but than turned his attention to Zaniel about his offer. "Did you have time to think about it?"He asked him

Talia was happily petting bullet as she pup was so happy to see her again.

He perked an eyebrow at his comment as Bullet came out form the back and greet Talia and her dad with excitement, but thrilled to see Talia again. Zaniel gave a small smiled, Bullet had a way of chilling the situation. He looked to Walter and nodded, Allowing them to come into the house. "Coffee?" he offered as they walked through the living room to the dining table and kitchen area. Bullet followed right behind Talia as they went on in and he sat at her feet waiting to be spoiled with attention.

Zaniel made some coffee and once it was made he came over and sighed, ".....Yeah.....sort of ...." he said. "I still don't see myself as a cop, but I want to know why you would offer that to me?" he asked him.

Walter nodded. "Just black is fine."He stated.

Talia started to spoil Bullet with attention as she kissed his face. "Such a good boy. Yes you are."She said in a cute voice. She wasn't really paying attention too much to their conversation, but kept an ear just in case.

Walter nodded as he took a sip of the coffee and sighs happily. Just like Talia would when she took a sip. He turned to Zaniel, "I figure you could use an opportunity like that. Someone to give you a chance. You don't seem to be too trusting of cops. And I can understand you're reasonings. Believe me."He laughed a bit as he had an old memory wash over him. "At least according to you're records the only work you've done was work for Trayvon, and take over Andre's old stuff."He said. "Not really a stable career path."He said. "You don't have to take it and continue to Manage that.... Sex house. With This one "He said Pointing to Talia. "Thought I prefer she doesn't....A a father That last thing I want to see is you're daughter Having sex with EVERY guys on the street."He said narrowing his eyes at her. "Still not happy with it one bit." he said looking at her.

Talia turned to him, "What?! I'm not doing it now! I'm under house arrest."She stated as she continued to pet Bullet and looked at the dog. "You're my only true Love Bullet. No one else."She teased as she hugged the dog happily.

Walter sighs as he looked at him, "In truth. I honestly think you'd be a great fit. You know the streets probably better than any cop I know. And having you on our team would be a great help with helping everyone as much as we can. Not all cops are assholes. At least thats what I'm trying to change."He stated as he gave him a small smile. "But like I said. You don't have to take it. You'll just be under House arrest Till its up. It gives you a reason to leave the house and some income for you without having to dig in to Andre's account and using those funds to either put you're Brother to College, or you're sister."He said looking at him. "Only if they want to go."He said. "Now a days these jobs out there especially in the big city need people with like Master Degrees. But you could pay that easily without putting yourself in student loan debt."He said looking at him as he took another sip of the coffee.

Talia have been secretly taking her dads sip of coffee. Walter look down and noticed he was down half a cup and looked over at Talia. She gave a teasing smile. He sighs, "I swear..."He thought as he rubbed his face. "Was she this much trouble with you while working with her?"He asked him with a laughing smile.

"Ya can tell? my old hood...didn't really.....think highly of cops." he said, taking a swig of his coffee. "Trust me...if it were easy to git good work...i would have done so....and I wasn't in the situation to get good anything...." he shrugged. "I would rather make something else with it....I don't really want to be the son of a whore monger." he still didn't care about he father that much, "But I understood he was trying to leave something for my siblings and I to have if he should pass.....whihc he did." he said. "I don't blame you....if it were my sister, I'de be the same." he said.

Zaniel sat there quiet for a minute, thinking about it, ".....ya have a point." he said. He and noticed Talia had been sneaking a few sips and smirked a little. "I know my sister dreams to be a ballerina.....its been hard to get her to the proper school for the training....and Zion....he won't tell me exactly what he wants to do yet." he said.

He sniggered, "Sorta." he teased a bit, "But she's got smarts and got through a lot of crap that got dropped on me and my family......I just wish she would lighten up a bit more." he said, looking at Talia, "How bout it?"

Talia looked over at at Zaniel as she sighs, "I'd probably to go to a lot for therapy session... And I'm also worried about everyone that is currently working there."She said looking at them both.

"Asking for anyone who's sole responsibilities to keep someone "Company" and trying to put them through a regular jobs is hard. And honestly."She said looking at her father. "I like what I do. "She told him honestly. "And I'm a bit greedy and Enjoy making the money that I do."She said

Walter raised a brow. "I've yet to see ANYTHING new come though that house of ours. What are you doing with the money?"He asked her.

Talia looked down as she petted Bullet. Her expression changing a bit with a blush feeling stupid for evening saying it out loud.

"I.... I want to have my own Salon.... I never let me Cosmetology License expire, so I still have it."She said feeling stupid for actually saying it out load.

Walter was actually surprised at what his own daughter wanted to do. He was a bit speechless. "I'm sure we can find a solution for the other contractors that are currently employee'd there. But exactly HOW much do you have in savings?"He asked her almost afraid to know.

Talia looked down. "Almost...... 30 million dollars in the last 4 years."She stated. "Thats already with the taxes taken out."

Walter just say there. It a good thing he didn't have coffee just that second he would have spit it out. He looked over at her as he was shocked. His own daughter had FAR more money than his own retirement. 'holy fuck...'he thought looking at her.

"They can be part of the new business as well. I'm not kickin' them to the curb." Zaniel said, "I got it that you want them safe, and it would be safer to one....MOVE the business and two, change it to something more...friendly." he said, "Cause I would like my siblings to KNOW what I am in business with." he stated. "..................." Zaniel sighed, "I don't wanna year you were killed by some fucker that is high or drunk...." Zaniel said honestly.

"Then do that." said Zaniel, "I'll help ya if ya need it. It would be better doing that than given' up ya backside to those fuckers." he said seriously to her. Zaniel passed hearing that amount, "OHHHHHKay you don't need my help then." he laughed. "Lia.....just get help for your head to wrap around a different life and go with it....ya can see your old man here isn't happy with wat ya were doin......And now tha ti'm out of dat life, i understand what he is feelin."

"Also." he looked to Walter, "I need to go to my sister's recital on the 23rd. I can't miss it."

Talia looked down as she sighs, "I like the sex though."She told them honestly.

Walter stood up, "Okaaaaaay...! If you don't mind I'm going to get another cup of coffee!"He said taking the cup with him. "You two can sit and chat and honestly... I don't want to hear any of this. It's one thing if you're both serious about each other. But come on Talia... Give you're old man a break... Sheesh."He stated being a bit of a drama queen, but it was for all fun.

Talia laughed a bit as she watched her father get up to show himself into the kitchen. She turned to Zaniel as she gave him a small smile, "Honestly. It's not so much the sex I like with the people. I like having sex with you."She said to him blushing a bit. "But yeah... I'm sorry about earlier."She said about their earlier conversation.

She started to play with her hair with one hand, while petting bullet's head. "I appreciate the compliment and I appreciate you worrying about me."She said laughing a bit. "If I didn't know any better... I'd say you like me a whole lot "She said with a grin.. but her expression turned a bit sad, a smile but a sad smile. "I'll think of something. When this house arrest is over I'll find a solution for everyone."She said softly.

Walter came back with a cup of coffee. "Is it safe to come back?"He asked. He heard the request of the recital date as he nodded, "You can go. I don't see a problem with that. I'll just have follow you and wait for you to come out, but for the most part, you can enjoy the recital on you're own right?"He asked him.

Talia look down. As she was curious to see if Zaniel told Chantel that she wouldn't be able to make it.

Zaniel chuckled a little at his reaction as well and looked to Talia, "...well......I like sex too." he said, trying to lighten it up as well. He paused when she said that, "........So what ya said in court....?" he asked.

"....I have always liked ya Lia." he said leaning forward in his seat to her, "....The thing is war are we to do to go forward?" he asked her seriously, "When this house arrest stuff is done and over.....I want to keep seein ya....And I mean what I said, I'll help with anythin' ya need to make the start up the new business...it would be good to get a new start...." he said.

"Yeah, for now." said Zaniel to Walter. "Uh yeah. I get to go and then head home right away. It will be late when it finishes, so Chantel would need to go to bed the moment we get home." he said, He looked at Talia, "......With permission sir, ma sister has taken a shine to Lia and she wanted her to come too...."

Walter looked at Talia than at Zaniel. "If she goes. I HAVE to go... As much as she's my daughter I love her to pieces... Under her conditions of her house Arrest I have to monitor her at all times. So if she Wants to go, than you're going to have to get an extra ticket cause that means I would go."He explained to him.

Walter turned to Talia, "Do you want to go?"He asked her.

Talia thought as she looked down. She knew how much Chantel has taken a liking to her. "Yeah... I do."She said softly looking at her father. "I promised her I'd get her flowers."She said softly.

Walter smiled at her, "Okay."He said turning to Zaniel. "I'll need an extra ticket."He said with a smile. "So just send it to us when you get a chance. But you said it's the 23rd correct? Time?"He asked him.

Talia smiled. She was happy she was able to keep her promise to his sister.

"Then come along." he shrugged, "If it allows her to go to the Recital then I'm fine." he said, "I can get an extra." he gave a small smile, happy to see she'll be coming along an his little sister won't be disappointed. "Yeah, 23rd and it stats at 7Pm." he said, "But I have to get her there at 5:30-6 o'clock to be set and ready iwht the others participating." Zaniel explained, "That's next week and I'll get the ticket and text ya." he shrugged. And then Chantel came out of her room, she had been sneaky and heard voices, "Lia!" she said, with a big smile.

"Baby Girl I told ya to stay in your room." he said dryler and sighed. "I'm 14 Zanny not 5." she said, coming over, "You coming next week?!" she asked excitedly.

Talia gave and hugged the small girl. "I am. I told you I wouldn't miss it for the world."She said with a smile.

Walter smiled. It reminded him of the days of when she graduated from her cosmetology program or did any recitals when she was younger. He still found it hard to believe that when she was this girls age she was in porn. It still broke his heart, and he's a little more observant when it comes to her.

He smiled to Chantel, "I'm looking forward to it."He told her.

Talia looked at Zaniel as she smiled to him. "We'll talk later."she said. "But we probably have to get going."she said looking up at her dad.

Walter nodded. "Yes. Good talk Zaniel. Let me know if there's anything I can do."He told hims as he headed to the door with Talia. Talia went down to bullet's level and started to hug him tightly. "By boy... You be good okay?"She asked feeling sad that she wouldn't get to see him for a while.

Walter sighed. "If I didn't know any better. I'd say you'd want a dog."He said looking at her as he opened the door. "Come on.... You want Icecream right?"He asked

Talia's ears perked up. "Oh yeah! I almost forgot about that."She said following her dad. She gave a quick turn to Zaniel and waved by to both him and chantel. "See you next week."She smiled and closed the door behind them.

Chantel shook in excitement, "SWEETT!!" she giggled, "Okay, I'll go back to my room now." she said to Zaniel, who shook his head with a small smiled, "That girl." He looked to Walter and Talia, "Yeah." he nodded to Talia, "Sure." he stood up to escort them to the door. "Yeah, thanks for coming." he said to Walter

Bullet wagged his tail when she petted him more to say goodbye, panting happily. Zaniel perked an eyebrow at the Icecream comment, 'I'll keep that in mind.' "Yeah it was a good talk. I'll think about the cop thing a little longer an I'll give ya an answer soon enough." he said. Zaniel nodded and watched the leave, he got hold of Bullet so he could see them go but not leave the house.

Talia waved by to him as she started to walk with her dad. She sighs as he was happy to be able to go. She looked up at her father and smiled, "He's not that bad."She told him.

Walter sighs as he looked down at her. "Just be careful."Was all he said.

They started to head to a local ice cream place. He bought her ice cream, and she accepted it happily.

They were on their way home as she sighs. Walter looked down at her as he his coffee flavored and she had her chocolate. "Talia."He called softly.

Talia looked up from eating her ice cream, "Hmmm?"She answered.

Walter sighs, "You know I would have found a way for you.... right?"He asked her.

Talia knew this talk would happened sooner or later. She was just hoping for later. "I know papa.... I was just scared."She answered him. "But Thank you.... for believing in me... and in him."She said with a smile.

Walter looked down at her and laughed a bit. "I think you're the only person I know that can weasel their way out of getting sentenced to prison."He laughed. "You'd make a great lawyer... Better than those assholes."He said remember the others.

Talia laughed a bit. "Probably..."She said as they continued to walk home.

Zaniel went up to his room and sighed, closing the door. He flopped on his bed and looked up at the ceiling, "......................I think i will give my choice after the recital." he said to himself aloud.

Days later, the day of the recital was on Zaniel and he had to shop online AGAIN to make sure all the right things were bought for Chantel, who for the last week could stop her excitement. She hadn't had more than her brothers come to see her dance before and she was thrilled about it all. But at the same time she was nervous and tried to contain it while doing her stretches in the lower room where they made a small area with a bar on the wall for her to practise. Music playing while she did her stretches and she practised her routine.

Meanwhile, Zaniel was checking over everything was set for Chantel, but he was feeling nervous for Talia and her dad joining for some reason..

Talia and Walter were on their way to Chantel's recital. Zaniel texted the address of the place to Talia a few days ago, but they haven't talked too much since than. Talia was busy finding ways to transform the business and seeing what she can do with the girls if they wanted to follow her, or do something else. And if they wanted to do something else. Would she be able to help them.

A lot has been on her mind. But she wanted to enjoy the recital. It was nice to be out of the house again. She had beautiful flowers and she took the time to text Zaniel Chantel's favorite flowers as well. They made it to the performance center as they were people in the lobby Waiting to be let in.

Walter looked around as he noticed that it didn't seem a very diverse group or people. He looked and noticed people were starting to head inside the recital hall. Talia followed her father as they took their seat in around the middle area to be far enough away, but close enough to still get a good watch. She looked down at their watch as she saw that it was almost 7pm.

Walter looked at her as he smiled. "Do you remember when you were younger, and I would always go to these recitals for you?"He whispered.

Talia blushed at the memory or whens he was like 6-7 years old in a tutu. She sighs, "Yes...."Remember how dorky she was back than.

Walter laughed a bit. "Those were some of my more treasured moments. Even on ones that you cried because you said you messed up, but I never thought you did."He stated.

Talia looked at her father and smiled. She was grateful to have him. She loved him, but at the same time, she wondering if he'll forgive her. Granted it may seem as though he has forgive her, but she knew that it was just a front that he put when he was either working, or too busy to look back on. She nodded as she noticed the lights starting to dim as the show was about to start.

Zaniel was allowed to drive his sister to the recital hall on his own and got to the place early so she could get wight he group who were part of the recital as well. He sighed, waiting in the car park with Zion, waiting to meet up with Talia an Walter. "Bro....why are we even allowing them to come?" Zion asked his big brother, "I am NOT spoiling this for Chantel...she deserve us both there and she want Talia to come along, this os the only way we can do so. So DO not complain." Zaniel warned him.

"I don't get why we are bothin'." he rolled his eyes. "DO. NOT." Zaniel said again. He then spotted the familiar car coming into the car park, "NO more. We're here for Chantel." he sai, "So be quiet and be supportive."

Talia sighs as she hasn't seen Zaniel come in. She reached for her phone as she quickly sent him a text. "Were already seated inside. Where are you?"She asked him

She put her phone back as she thought about him liking her, but she wasn't sure if she could commited to another relationship. She didn't want her past to reflect how she was, and to be honest she wasn't sure if she SHOULD have a relationship.


She had a lot on her mind as she watched the stage.

Walter looked over at her and saw her worry He was about to ask, but decided to leave her be.

"WHAT?!" he saw the text and he grabbed his brother, rushing inside of the building. People were coming in as well as the brothers made their way to their assigned seats. Zaniel spotted the familiar blonde head of hair on Talia, "Hey!" he called out as they slid over to them, "Sorry, we thought ya guys were meeting us int he carpark." Zaniel said as they sat down. "ugh too much rushin round!" grumbled Zion, Zaniel hit his arm to hush him.

"They still settin' up?" he asked Talia.

Talia smiled and laughed a bit. "Yeah it seems that way."She said softly.

Just as she said that the lights started to dim and the stages light came on with some music.

Talia watched happily as she watched.

Walter was hushed as he watched as well.
